Operators turned builders

On n'est jamais si bien servi que par soi-même.

We shipped diligence at scale. Now we're building the platform we wanted.

Nik Dulac

Founder & CEO

Nik founded WindShift to modernize how diligence gets done - faster, more rigorous, and evidence-backed. He has over 20 years of experience in the aerospace sector, most recently as a partner at Oliver Wyman.

His work spans the full aerospace and defense ecosystem: commercial business aviation, OEM and aftermarket, defense electronics, shipbuilding and sustainment, engines, aerostructures, systems, space launch, satellite communications, and hardware distribution. If it sits somewhere in the A&D value chain, he probably diligenced it (once or twice).

Over the past 15 years he led over 400 strategy engagements, from $12M machine shops to multi-$billion take-privates, including a nearly $10B aviation digital services OEM carve-out.

After catching the AI bug, the engineer in him missed building things, so he stepped off the partner track to develop and ship product. He designed all of the WindShift apps, from document intelligence to proprietary conversational analytics, and created the roadmap for a truly transformative professional services platform.

The name WindShift is deliberate. In an earlier pivot, he bought a sailboat in Mallorca and crossed the Atlantic with a skeleton crew. Aviation, software, sailing - the common thread is judgment under changing conditions and the willingness to adjust course before others do. Nik holds an MS and PhD from MIT in aerospace systems and an engineering degree from McGill. He is based in Boston, prefers Maine, and is happiest on a beam reach.

Nik remains active in aerospace M&A advisory through a senior advisor position with old colleagues at Arnovia and can be reached at ndulac@arnovia.com

Where We Are Today

Launch status and what's ahead

Operational at Launch

  • Document Intelligence: All features operational. Smart processing, collections management, agentic retrieval with citations
  • WindShift Data: Conversational analytics on aviation datasets. Minutes, not hours for data queries
  • Agentic Deep Research: Professional-grade research customized for aerospace diligence
  • Competitive Profiler: Same-day first drafts for competitive profiles (aerospace pilot)
  • Expert Network Integration: Seamless access to domain experts and specialized knowledge

In Development

  • Additional Agent Teams: Rainmaker, Surveyor, Sounder, Oracle, Alchemist
  • Expanded Domain Tools: Contract analysis, web-scraping, Excel/PPT generation, benchmarking
  • Full Orchestration Layer: Conductor, Arbiter, Archivist agents for workflow coordination
  • Exchange Expansion: External vendor integration marketplace
  • Project Knowledge Base: Custom knowledge graphs with Graph RAG architecture (almost ready)

Aerospace-First, Built for Any Industry

We're starting with aerospace because we know it deeply. The platform's core architecture - Document Intelligence, Project Knowledge Base, WindShift Workspace - is industry-agnostic by design. Aerospace gives us the most demanding requirements, which forces us to build robust, reusable patterns.

Next: Healthcare (regulatory documents), Technology (IP and competitive analysis), Industrials (supply chain diligence), Financial Services (transaction analysis). Our modular architecture means new industries primarily require domain-specific datasets and agent training - not platform rebuilds.
